Each spring the Friends of Westbury solicit applications from graduating seniors of Westbury High School for scholarships to be awarded by the foundation. Currently the the Foundation is awarding a total of ten (10) scholarships for $1,000 each, to be delivered at the end of the school term upon demonstration by the student of acceptance at a recognized university.

This process is open to all full time students at Westbury. To participate, the Student is required to download and follow the instructions for completing the application.

2004 Scholarship Recipients

Elena Claburn has been accepted at the Harding University in Searcy, AK; ranked 25th in her graduating class and plans to major in Studio Art. Terrance Denkins has been accepted to University of Texas at Austin and plans to major in Accounting.  He is ranked 29th in his graduating class. 
Joel Fessler  has been accepted at Trinity University; ranked 1st in his graduating class and plans to major in Computer Science. Ashley Glenn has been accepted at the University of Texas at Austin; ranked 26th in her graduating class and plans to major in Psychology.
Jinsu Kuncheria has been accepted at the University of Houston Main Campus; ranked 6th in her graduating class and plans to major in Chemistry/Pre-Medicine Rosa Marroquin has been accepted at the University of Texas at Austin; ranked 15th in her graduating class and plans to major in Business Administration.
Cynthia Velazquez has been accepted at the University of Texas at Austin; ranked 2nd in the class of 322 and plans to major in Business Administration. Alicia Salazar  has been accepted at the University of Texas at Austin; ranked 17th in her graduating class and plans to major in English.
Veronica Mejia plans to attend the University of Houston Main Campus; ranked 43rd in her graduating class and plans to major in Chemistry. Jasmine Vaughn has been accepted at Xavier University; ranked 3rd in her graduating class and plans to major in Journalism & Radio/TV.
